ATO Pictures nabs rights to 'Oasis'

ATO Pictures has acquired U.S. rights to Participant Media's docu ''Last Get in touch with the Oasis,'' directed by Jessica Yu.The film recently opened up within the Toronto Intl. Film Festival.Pic's developed, funded and executive produced by Participant Media.''Oasis'' handles the world water crisis becoming the central problem facing the planet this century.The film was produced by Elise Pearlstein featuring activist Erin Brockovich, Peter Gleick, Alex Prud'homme, Jay Famiglietti and Robert Glennon.The sale was talked about by ATO's Mind of Purchases Sarah Lash with Josh Braun of Submarine and Rob Ivers, COO of Participant Media.ATO also acquired rights the other day to another TIFF title, ensemble comedy ''The Oranges.
